E-cards... they used to be just an email with a picture. Simple, right? Well, that was too easy. Now electronic greetings have evolved into elaborate little animations with music. There are interactive cards, as well, where the recipient gets to click and "interact" with the greeting. Not all of them are animated or interactive, and, of course, not all of them are free. The more you want, the more you have to pay, in most cases.

Sending Greeting Cards (real ones you can hold)

The downside of electronic greetings is that some people feel they are less thoughtful or personal. In our busy lifestyles, we seem to have gotten away from really taking the time to let someone know that we are thinking of them.

An alternative to sending your thoughts via email is a unique service where you can browse a website to to find a greeting card (a real, tangible, paper one) icon , personalize it, purchase it, and have it sent for you, through a postal service (old-fashioned snail mail). This saves you a trip to the store to buy the card and a trip to the post office (or mailbox) to send it. No envelop to buy or address, and the postage is included in the purchase price. The recipient gets the greeting just as if you had taken the time to send it yourself. However, the message isn't in your handwriting.

This is also a great choice if you want the convenience of sending an "electronic" card, but your recipient doesn't use the internet or email (yes, people like that still exist).
