etiquette for child care worker gift

Is it ok to give a bottle of wine to each of my 2 yr olds daycare workers? There are 7 of them and I am on a budget. Any ideas?

Hi Tamara,
I suppose a bottle of wine would be OK. I tend to shy away from that only because I'm not particularly knowledgable in regards to wine (my partner and I don't really drink it) and I know people's preferences for wine and alcohol vary.

In the past, for our kids' teachers, either at the end of the year or at Christmas, we would fill a mug or a tin with homemade goodies - cookies, brownies, etc. - and wrap it up with a bow. Sometimes we would throw in a small gift certificate for a coffee shop.

I don't think your gesture needs to be an expensive one in order to be appreciated, so definitely stick to your budget. :)
